Why are you not prepared?

In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy that wrought destruction on a large part of the Northeast around New York, we learn the sob stories of all the people who ignored the warning to be prepared.

Being prepared means having the stuff you need to weather the storm whether it be a hurricane or something much worse.  Being prepared is quite easy and inexpensive yet millions of people out there just don’t get it.  It boggles my mind.

Here’s what you can do:

1. Keep a good stock of food and water in the house.  Enough to last at least a week.
2. Get a small generator.  They are really cheap.  Store a few cans of gas to power it.
3. Relax and enjoy your unexpected vacation.  Life will resume soon enough.

It’s as easy as 1-2-3.  Do it now!
